Atrial Fibrillation
A condition in which the heart's upper chambers beat irregularly
Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is an arrhythmia condition of the heart's upper chambers. It can cause serious complications, including stroke, and significantly impact a patient's quality of life.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
An irregular heart rhythm
Some people have no symptoms. Others notice palpitations, shortness of breath or fatigue. A clinician can assess symptoms and confirm a diagnosis.
Palpitations or a racing heartbeat
Shortness of breath
Fatigue or reduced stamina

Current care can include medicines, ablation procedures and stroke-risk management. Thryv is exploring SGK1 inhibition as a potential medical treatment for cardiac arrhythmias, including AFib.
AFib can occur in isolation, but more often occurs alongside other heart disease, including heart failure. In ASPIRE-HF, a history of paroxysmal AFib is allowed and heart rhythms will be monitored. This may allow an exploratory analysis of the effects of THRV-1268 on AFib burden.
Thryv supports the importance of understanding the clinical meaningfulness of AFib burden and is proud to be a member of the AF-B-STEP Consortium.
The safety and efficacy of THRV-1268 have not been established. THRV-1268 is investigational; these research programs do not establish a treatment benefit. THRV-1268 has not been approved for commercial use by any regulatory authority (e.g., the FDA in the United States, Health Canada in Canada, or the TGA in Australia).
